1. I learnt about the India UK free trade deal & the opportunities that come along - https://open.spotify.com/episode/5MP4e7iJKaFMTmshGDa0Bn?si=0d6bd4ec51c14e36
    1. Interesting that “Tech, Finance & Prof services” are still hugely talent based & that that wouldn’t open more doors to Indians in this context
    2. More opportunities are largely in manufacturing
  2. GLP 1 - the natural hormones drugs that are helping (very effectively) people lose weight - Listened to this https://www.ft.com/content/ed3ca26f-123d-426d-a629-055f46b50b79?syn-25a6b1a6=1
    1. GLP 1 drugs made people not just lose weight but do things they’d been meaning to do for quite some time - start new jobs, switch to healthy eating, get married or get out of a marriage etc.
    2. The same drugs had similar but less pronounced effects on women
  3. Learnt about India’s manufacturing - why it’s broken and how paying more focus and attention to it is necessary because there’s immense scope. Listened to this https://open.spotify.com/episode/5i6rjKTmy79hKNpR8e1lVG?si=087acb17bd664ac1
    1. Immense scope - including esp to exporting India made goods. Reasons why we’re still small:
      1. India is looked at as a Large Domestic market - but is small, only about less than a tenth of it’s population is really what “market” could be.
      2. A little too protectionist - as always.
